What to Wear

Tips to ponder:

  • Start with one person’s outfit. This way you can puzzle piece the rest of the outfits to complement each other. Having a starting point helps you visualize the look you are going for.

  • Consider your home decor. What outfit colors are going to complement the colors in your home when you display your pictures.

  • Add texture to your outfits. Think cable knit, faux fur, lace.

  • Don't have too many patterns. Patterns are fun but can be a bit much if too many members of your family have pattern in the photos. For example, have your daughter in a cute polka dot dress, but keep the rest of the family simple.

  • Accessorize! Think jewelry, scarfs, hats (beachy/fedora), cardigans, and of course fun socks!

  • Woman should balance out their fitted looks. For example if wearing a flowing blouse, make sure to wear skinny pants or leggings. If wearing a skirt then make sure to wear a fitted top. Its all about balance!

What to wear men:

Chino pants or shorts, blazers, button down with sleeves rolled up to elbow, fitted pants or jeans, scarfs, sweaters lawyer over button down, cardigans

What to wear woman:

maxi dresses, skinny jeans or leggings, fitted tops tucked into long skirts, dresses, cardigans, blazers, scarfs, coats, accessories.

Fun accessories for kids:

bowtie, suspenders, caps, headbands, bows

What not to wear!

character shoes, shirts with writing, gym shoes, baggy pants, cargo shorts, tank tops, neon colors, transition lenses.

Don't get all matching outfits! make sure your outfits compliment each other. Think same color pallet. Goal is to achieve a more cohesive look.
